Our Rooms for Class Tonight at ITT

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

Alright guys, back to school this week. The move is complete and we are ready to get back to work. We will start from 6-7:30pm in LAB 2 and share with IT302. After that we will be in Lab 6. This week we are going to talk about creating “good enough” physics in Flash for use in games. Of course we will also work hard on getting some ground covered in our projects so that we don’t find ourselves in a bind at the last minute. If we can get functionality nailed down in the next couple of weeks we can spend the remaining time working on polishing up our graphics and presentation. Did I tell you that the animation I did was of a bear cub and that I realized it was supposed to be a lion cub. There’s your lesson in proper planning before getting started. Anyway…

From Bratcher:
“If you walk into the room facing the BIG WINDOW and split the lab into two, the right half has Multi-Media software on it. So if two classes are sharing the MEGA-LAB - which will happen often - then the VisComm or Gaming class should take the right side of the LAB.”

The MACS on the right side of the room will soon have PS, Illustrator, and InDesign on them. And the students can log onto the Internet using these MACS if they use their LapTop wireless passwords. VisComm classes please use these MACS when possible.

The Plotter and the Printer are hooked up in MEGA-LAB - just have the students do a 073 search in FIND PRINTER, and they should POP up.

imageDirections:
If you are coming from I64 and pass the old location on your right then continue on Hurstbourne over Shelbyville Rd.(US 60).
If you get to Dorsey Ln. You’re too far.
If you get to LaGrange Rd. you’re way too far.

The address is 9500 Ormsby Station Rd. but if you turn left on Ormsby Station Rd. then you will take a horseshoe all the way around back to Hurstbourne. The street at the other end of the horseshoe, before Ormsby on Hurstbourne, is labelled as Forest Green. Ormsby is on the left and Forest goes right. Take a left at that light and ITT is on the corner.

The one thing that has pissed me off to no end about ITT is that they can not get their shit together.  With as much space as they now have at the new building we should have dedicated rooms that we stay in all class long.  All they have to do is get a few more computers.

Bullshit!

Well, the class change midway is an accreditation issues. It’s a necessary evil. I agree, albeit quietly, that the transition to the new building was a little uhm, how do you say?... muddled.
